Notification of Construction / Maricopa Regional Supplemental Noise Wall (Loop 101, Via Linda to Camelback Walk)
posted: 4/21/2011
On behalf of the Arizona Department of Transportation I am pleased to inform you that construction of the Maricopa Regional Supplemental Noise Wall (sound wall) project adjacent to the Loop 101 between Via Linda Drive and Camelback Walk in Scottsdale will begin on or about May 15, 2011.

Construction in this area also includes the widening of bridge structures to accommodate the new sound wall, so there may be traffic control on Loop 101, the 90th Street off-ramp and possibly local streets throughout the construction process.

When construction begins, crews will work 8-to-10-hour shifts beginning at 5:00 or 5:30 a.m., Monday-Friday, with some occasional night and weekend work possible. Construction is scheduled to last approximately seven months.

Between now and the start of construction, you might see crews from ADOT and our contractors in the area to inventory the landscape; take photographs and/or video of the work site; prepare for removal of trees or fencing; and carry out other necessary pre-construction work.
